Captain America Gets New Song from Alan Menken

Captain America: The First Avenger is getting one or more new original songs from Alan Menken. Apparently, the Oscar nominated musician is currently hard at work creating new tunes for the upcoming Marvel adventure.

It is not known if it will be one or more songs, but the music will most likely appear during Captain America's stint in the USO. Thinking Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) is too valuable for troop moral, he is pulled out of combat and put on stage to entertain the soldiers during World War II.

It is not known if Alan Menken is writing an original song for Captain America, or if he is simply producing the track. But it will definitely be used in a song and dance routine complete with lyrics.

Alan Menken was recently nominated for an Oscar in the Best Song category for his work on the Disney animated adventure Tangled.
